Lookbooks
Kaleere 1
Overview
This lookbook is a tribute to the rich wedding traditions of Punjab, with a special focus on the cultural significance of kaleeras. As a group of three, we explored the emotional and aesthetic value of this bridal ornament by crafting our own kaleeras using makhana and coconut shells. Styled to reflect the elegance of a 1980s Punjabi bride, the shoot was set in royal old villas and gardens, capturing the authentic charm and timelessness of Punjabi wedding culture.
Approach
Our approach blended storytelling, styling, and hands-on creativity to bring tradition to life. From designing and making the kaleeras ourselves to curating vintage-inspired bridal looks, every element was thoughtfully crafted. We chose regal, heritage locations to reflect the cultural roots of our theme, while the layout and design of the lookbook were done by us to visually narrate the journey of a Punjabi bride with warmth, nostalgia, and elegance
